MWPSK announcement marathon! :-)

This month are so many exciting news, I barely know where to start!

A new version is borne!
We finally launched version 1.3 of My Web Pages Starterkit and registered it in the Windows Web Application Gallery. This is really exciting news and I love to see that already more than 4300 downloads have been taken in the first week!

A new home for MWPSK
For quite a while our landing page, www.mwpsk.org, was being rebuilt. And while we are certainly not finished yet, I think we managed to get a really interesting and exciting landing page with tons of content online. This all is work in progress and we will continue changing things, but it should be already worth browsing through…

Build your own MWPSK – With the silverlight configurator
Have you seen our silverlight configurator? It is a extremely comfortable way of pre-configuring MWPSK and enables you to preselect some of the many configuration options in MWPSK. You’ve been never faster up to speed with your framework!

Welcome to MWPSK.org 2.0 and the MWPSK Team Blog

Welcome to the My Web Pages Starterkit Team blog - we hope you will find this a helpful place to get the inside scoop plus plenty of tips and tricks from the team who is building this successful ASP.NET web application.

So what is this starterkit?

Well… first of all it is a ASP.NET application that helps you building modern dynamic websites. To make it as easy as possible you need neither any programming know how nor any additional software installation (besides the .NET framework obviously) to start with it. It runs on any ASP.NET enabled Windows machine without any changes on configuration settings or additional requirements such as a database. Out of the box MWPSK installs with very useful modules and functionalities such as a blogengine, a forum and many more.

There is a vibrant community that helps developing extensions, supports you, and is a lot of fun to work with. Everything is open source and open to your contribution as well.

So… Try it, extend it or contribute as a active community member!
